SWCP Passport & Tag

SWCPA created a Coast Path Passport last year, which is a little booklet where one can collect stamps from participating Way Makers, businesses supporting the path. Part of my plans, I thought it’d be fun to get one and collect stamps along the way. I bought the gift set, which includes the passport, a roundel and a pen, because I thought it’d be fun to put the tag on my backpack when I walk the path. The roundel is similar to the PCT tag hikers, who started at the Mexican border, had on the packs, except that the roundel is made of wood. Let’s hope it stands the elements and doesn’t split.

The passport alone is £6.50 and the roundel alone £5.00 and the gift set with the passport, roundel and a pen is £9.95, so it’s worth getting the set even if not interested in the pen.

Those walking long distance might be interested to know that the booklet weighs 45g and the roundel 10g.

I added an extra layer on the SWCP map for the passport stamp locations, so now it’s easier to find them while on the path.
